End-of-year housekeeping questionnaire

31 Dec

handshakeHello there! I’m doing some end-of-year housekeeping, I’d love to know what people think of the on-going Libro blog. I’ve got 1,000,000 hits and counting this year, so I know people are reading, but it’s always good to check that I’m providing what you need!

Please share your answers in a comment below if you have a moment …

What are your favourite posts on the Libro blog (social media tips, Word tips, business info, editing tips, small business chats?)

Do you read the Saturday Small Business Chats? Would you read them more regularly if they were published on a different day? Do you find them interesting and useful? Do you like the update element of them? What would make you comment on them more?

Do you take part in the Small Business Chats? Do you find taking part useful or a chore? Do you read other people’s? What would make you comment on them more?

Thank you and Happy New Year to those of you on the same calendar as me!

Love the site. I am learning so much when I read the emails. I am so glad I joined. I do not use the site for small business updates. I do read the articles about Facebook updates and find them helpful

Thank you for taking the time to respond, Colleen. I will bear in mind that you like the articles about social media and try to include more of those next year.

I love reading the Small Business Chats. Thank you for posting them regularly! I always gain a valuable insight (small or big) from these interviews.

Liz, I read everything you post. The business information and tips for Word and editing are the most relevant bits for me, but I find inspiration and a glimpse into another culture by reading the Small Business Chats. (I live in the United States.) I appreciate the Saturday timing for those chats, because my e-mail box isn’t quite as full then as most other days. Although I faithfully read the chats, I don’t have anything useful to contribute and thus don’t ever comment. I am too much of a small-business neophyte myself.

The postings that I read most cursorily are those having to do with social media. I have enough other sources of social-media tips that I often feel a sense of social-media overload. I understand social media is a necessary and useful part of business, but it can be so time consuming that I have to discipline myself and limit the amount of attention I give it.

Obviously, I’m not representative of your large readership but still want to let you know how much I enjoy and learn from your blogs. I’m delighted to read anything you decide is worth your time to write.

Thank you – it really helps to know what people think. And whenever I ask this question, I find different people like different parts of the blog (I think my social media posts are a bit too like what’s out there in the rest of the world, but because I have good SEO, a lot of people do find and appreciate them!) so I’ll carry on as I was!
